K/M 4050 TONER QUESTION

I was told there is something that you can put in this machine so that it can accept toner from another company rather than the one we purchased it from. Anyone know what Im talking about? Thanks!

I would not advise using aftermarket toner in these machines. These machines perform best with OEM toner and usually saving a small amount up front will come back to bite you with more repairs. Now if you are talking about the KM 4050I series, this copier was made for Ikon and uses a different toner gear so you have to buy Toner from Ikon, unless you change the gear.
