    Looking for FS-C5016N firmware update

    Hi All,

Who can help me out with a firmware update for my FS-C5016N printer. At the moment I have the A023 egine firmware in it, and I have found that has some problems. So I want to update it to a newer version. Who can help me out with the firmware files? I already have found the service manual on how to perform the update.

    With kind regards,

    Remco

That firmware should still be listed on KDA. If so; it is probably in the Legacy category.
    Just Log in and download.
On that model..... an 8 Mb flash card would probably be large enough.

The problem is we don't have a technical login for Kyocera. We are just a reseller not a technical repair dealer.....

So if someone could mail me the files...

Your distributor should have access to KDA, you could get the files from them.
Then you could install the firmware.

I can get it, but it won't be free. Email me if interested.

I have called our distributor (Copaco) and they are transfering us back to Kyocera. I would need to bring the print to them and they charge arround 80 euro just for the update.

So hopefully somebody can help me out.

What are you offering in return?? Since it's obvious that once you get it, you won't be back till you need something again.

I can do a donation to the site..

I don't have much expertise on normal printers, but more on electronics/ home automation. And on the forums I am active on we help everybody without expecting something return... But of course it is nice if somebody can help others again with answers on their questions...

Also it is better to save some old device from being thrown away... With is a waste of the environment.

Then I suggest that you go to the forums you ARE active on and beg for it there. You've got 4 posts here all begging for a freebie. If you contributed something to this forum, people would be more inclined to help you. (not me, but other people might, and like i said, I can get it but it isn't free) You want free, go find it yourself.
