Taskalfa 250ci Random bold

Our printer has been randomly putting bold on lines when printing text and color photos together.
It does not occur every time and does not show up on the same area, it moves to different lines.
Any idea what would cause this?

We use Corel Draw 15
Printer is using driver version 6.1.7601.17514

I've seen this before...basically what is happening is for some text it is using just black for words and then some it uses all 4 colors to make black for the text...making it look bold...pretty much if it's just a text document print in B&W and not auto or full color...I think there is a setting in the print driver under imaging you can click to set "print text as black" that may help

Thanks, I will try changing the emulation.

Yes, we do run "print text as black" on many occasions, however, we are printing full color bulletins and most of the time we want white, off white text on front, while want true black on back.
Correct, it does seem to use the colors to print black then as it never comes out as good as it does in "print text as black".

Simple yet complex, great printer though.
