    ftp scanning with a km 1820

    trying to set up ftp scanning to a win 2003 enterprise edition server, tried smb no success, trying ftp with filezilla server same outcome. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    We usually just set those up for scan to email. Don't like them for smb because you have to enter the user name and password every time you scan and do it from the panel. You also can FTP to scanner file utility.

      i tried with scanner file, dont work with the older models, only as ftp from KM-3050 or higher from my experience.

        The 1820 was in the same Kyocera/Copystar line-up as the falcon 3 how is it older.

          Windows has a built in FTP service, but it does need to be installed and configured properly.

          When it comes to servers, I wouldn't install software like Filezilla and other manufacturer software as they might cause issues (Windows Server is a delicate system, especially since you said they are running Enterprise which means there must be some pretty critical services that the server provides).
          Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
