8030 Jamming ONLY when hole punching multiple pages

We've got an 8030 that jams ONLY when hole punching more than one page. Jam code is 63. It will copy, staple, sort, duplex - everything else, except hole punch multiple pages. It will hole punch single pages all day long, just not more than one. Hole punch unit was switched for one from a known working machine - no joy. I checked the firmware and it is up to date.

I have read some posts that are similar and mention rollers, solenoids, switches, etc; however, if these were the culprits, wouldn't it jam while performing tasks other than hole punching? What am I missing here?

remove the rear cover on the finisher and check the two drive belts, one of the gears has the famous Kyocera drive pin that shears off the inside of one of the gears

UPDATE: Replaced just about every switch, roller, solenoid, sensor......................except the correct one.

I must've run 1500 pages (punch, staple, duplex, etc.) through there and the only time it would jam is when in punch mode, which made no sense since the jams were in the switchback path and staple/punch follow the same path. Started in another direction and today got a call from the customer complaining that staple jobs are now jamming - well, that makes sense now. Replaced the registration switch (DUPSRSW) and all is right with the world again.

      Take care, guys!
