Hi, press the job status button go into service mode and goto U204. turn it off there you will be asked to turn m/c off/on. Done.

      Hi madas

even if i press the job status button or enter 10871087, the pop up still stays on the screen panel asking to insert the Key Counter Card.

It just won't allow me to go into service mode.

Please any other option to try...

        Hi
can you get into job status or use any of the keys or is it all locked out? does it beep when you press keys?
if it is frozen all i can suggest is to try to do the firmware and see if that will do the trick. sorry not had this before.

If you can find the key counter connector you should be able to bring the copier ready from that. The connector runs from YC19 on the EPWB to the key counter knock out on the side of the copier. It's a 4 position connector behind that knock out. Pins 3 & 4 bring the copier ready. There is 5VDC signal (Key Set Sig) on pin 3 and ground on pin 4. When the 5VDC signal brought low by being shorted to ground; the copier comes ready. Once it's ready you should be able to enter service mode and change U204.
