CS 420 i ( DV unit is being starved ) toner is not being replenished.

Has anyone comeacross this?? Machine doesn't automatically replenish toner in the DV unit.I've tested the DV Sensor and Toner bottle level sensor in service mode. Alsotoner solenoid I had problems getting it to fire in service mode is there aspecial trick to this output test? I've swapped out both DV and toner bottle,firmware is latest version. Machine is using Katun toner could this be theissue, machine does show a message (Unknown Toner installed)?

I've also had a problem once on a 4050 after DV install machine would code outwhen doing a U130, only after I put a new OEM toner did the machine completethe U130.

It's possible it's the Katun toner...shitty company...shitty stuff...not definitive though.

Honestly, I wouldn't use any generic in a dual toner developer system and not on this machine.

You can try putting in a fresh batch of genuine and see if that fixes it.

why dont you use kyocera oem toner, hv had problems of quality with katun toners in general,more often the cartridges gears dont turn at all so they damage your toner feed motor.
