[Misc] Canno tprint to networked Kyocera TASKalfa 4550ci

I have a laptop running win 7 64Bit and have installed the Kyocera TASKalfa 4550ci. I have unistalled and reinstalled all software for the printer and it still will not print from all programs below is a list of issues I am having when printing to it.

    • Prints test page fine
    • Cannot set as default, but able to get into full print driver options from devices and printers.
    • prints from MS word 2010 fine
    • printed email from outlook, print options did not come up properly and then the print came out of the HP directly connected to the laptop even though selected the Kyocera
    • Adobe does not even show it as a installed printer
    • MS excel shows printer but does not allow you to select it

We have 2 of these machines in our office and have any numerous issues the last few months. Firmware on both was just updated a couple of weeks ago. These are networked printers and have had to install locally on each machine in office instead of from network due to intermittent connection/printing issues from almost everyone in the office. We have had the machines for a few years with no issues at all.

If anyone has any idea what would be causing this to happen please let me know.

Try uninstalling the HP driver and the Kyocera. Then install the kyocera driver before the hp driver. I have had conflects in the past.

You left a lot of information out: Is the print driver installed locally or on the server? What version of driver are you using? Sometimes the mini driver can resolve weird issues. What firmware is on copier? Have you tried all emulations on print driver? Is there an IP conflict between the Kyocera and HP?
