What port to I set my NW-FAX printer to?

I installed the KM 2050 NW-FAX printer driver so that I can send faxes from my windows xp applications. The driver automatically selected LPT1: as it's default. When I print to the KM driver right when the fax page pops up allowing you to put in phone number cover sheet etc the print spooler is in the system tray with a red star and the queue is saying error printing.

I'm assuming that it doesn't like LPT1: as it's destination since there is no printer on LPT1.

What am I doing wrong? The last time I tried this I believe the jobs stayed in the print queue after the fax was sent.

    Ideas?

    Thanks,

you can leave lpt1, there is an option in the print driver, properties, printing preferences, fax tx setting, machine setting, set the ip or host name of the scanner.
whenever I set the port as a tcp/ip port the fax jobs send but give an error for the queue and have to be cleared.
The force will be with you always.

IP Address of the printer seems to have worked. Last night I also set it to the XPS printer (that thing that Microsoft puts in with windows xp) and that also seemed to work but who knows where the prints would be piling up.

Setting to the IP of the printer (not the scanner) seems to clear them from the print queue.

No mention anywhere in the documentation that I read. Installs default to LPT1 and no mention of how to fix. Nice going Kyocera. Most certinly developed the software offshore without much regard to how people would use it. Asked our Copier tech when he was here to look at our bad sheet feeder cable and he said he knew about the software but could not answer a single question along these lines. Guess I can't blame him, he's got a million machines to diagnose and fix and who has the time for buggy software.

          nw fax

Kyocera makes a good machine and it will provide you many features, fax ,network fax routing , printing, scan to e-mail, scan to file, scan to ftp, and some scan via smb.
