Taskalfa 5500 i waste toner

Hello, i have a new Taskalfa 5500i 26k only saying waste bottle full/not present. I stripped the toner bottle and it worked for about 70 copies then stopped again. Is there just 1 sensor/drop arm on top of the black rubber seal above the waste bottle or is there a waste bottle detection sensor somewhere? I did not have a new bottle to try so is there something i can do? I remember this happened on older taskalfa colour copiers where you just had to change the waste bottle even though it was not full.

There are 2 pockets in the neck of the waste toner bottle you should make sure are cleaned out. If there is any waste toner in those pockets even if you have an empty bottle it will say it's full. Also check the connector for the waste toner unit. Check where it plugs into the connector and also check on the backside that it hasn't come loose. I had one here in the shop I banged my head against for about 30 min trying to figure out why it was yelling the waste toner wasn't installed because the connector on the back had come loose.

remove the plastic sensor pockets inside neck of the waste toner bottle with a long nose pliers ,then clean inside the neck with a cloth so the sensor will see a clean neck. they are detachable and are used to sell kyocera more waste toner bottles. once removed the bottle can be emptied and used again and again

i remove these as well because toner seems to get caught up in the plastic sensor pockets regularly causing this problem.
