I'll help any enduser with enduser related usage problems. And I'll help any technician with technical aspects. And the line is very clear to me.

    What's it called again? CopyEnduser.com ... no, that's not it. GiveMeForFree.com ... no, that's not it. Copy Tech Net.com

Sorry you don't want to share your playground. I have the tech here right now, he's been here about 50 minutes, and just threw in the towel. He can't find the problem and will come back this afternoon to install a new NIC card. Sooooooooo, it seems I did all the troubleshooting correctly and checked everything he has checked and more, but he is only suspecting the same thing I did, that our NIC card may be bad. Some times people think too highly of themselves, but some of us can learn on our own and find solutions with out going to the expert playground. Have fun with your playmates.

Incorrect. Scanner File Utility runs fine on ANY Windows operating system.

Thanks for the laugh. At least you don't want to throw me out of your playground. Tech came, threw in the towel after 50 minutes, will be back this afternoon with a NIC card. Thanks again

Ask your technician to give us a ring, I am sure, that the Scan Board is absolutely fine. I'll charge him $250 for the know-how, so he can charge you $150 for the call out and use the info to charge another customer $150 to make his money back plus it saves you the cost of new Scan board! Personally I think $150 is not that bad!

          I accept PAYPAL!

Otherwise I am backing up BlackCat!

PS: Don't take this in any offensive way. No need for it!

So now you are going to replace what is probably a good scanner NIC, Please explain to us how changing a router makes a NIC card go bad? People have tried to help you, but with reservations. The only person that sounds like they are above everyone else is you. We have offended you because we have chastized you and rightfully so. I could be wrong, but I am betting that all you have is a configuration problem and now you might be getting soaked for a scanner NIC card as well. I do however wish you luck. I as well as everyone on this board try to help technicians with their problems and we learn from each other.

              Re: Copystar 2550 Scanner Setup

also have an issue with km 2550 that i connected directly to a pc via crossover network cable to scan, have done it on some network printers before and it worked but on km 2550 , as usual i loaded my twain driver, utility, db, address book all set , opened my paperport ,then as i try to connect to scanner it gives error code " MANAGEMENT CODE ERROR"

Any special difference to other models like km c 2525e ,c3232e set up or else its my driver version , m using v 8.4 universal kyocera driver, for km c2525e m using the actual model driver.

              thanks for your input
failure is not an option !

Have to agree with my esteemed colleagues on this one. You may have wasted whatever he charged for the cscan board. I'll take it if you are throwing it out. I need a good one. If you can ping it how is it bad?

Thanks so much for your suggestion. It's the only one that has worked. My copy tech did not have time to get back to me on Friday so I called him this morning and asked him to hold off on bringing us a new scan board. Did some more research and troubleshooting and figured it out. Back to scanning again. Thanks so much for saving me the cost of the new board and more work by the copy tech.
