    Kyocera 1135 Developer Calibration?

    Hello everyone,

    I setup a new 1135 and the developer unit was bad. I replaced it and was wondering if there's a calibration. I did the procedure in the system menu but it didn't do what I thought it should. I thought maybe it would run for a few minutes and add toner but it didn't and there was a void due to the lack of toner. The void went away after a few pages but I feel like I'm missing something.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    Did you tell the 1135 that it had a new developer ?

    If not ... check the Service manual and follow the steps to install a new developer .

      It's an 1135...not much you can really do about it. The MM sucks on these as about all you can really do in it is print reports, clear the maint counter, and back up an address book.

        Yep but it didn't do anything after I told it it had a new developing unit. I thought it would cycle or something. It just beeped and was done. The service manual also says to clear the maintance count but there isn't much point in that since the machine only has less than 100 pages through it.

          MM = Maint Mode

          O K
          New MFP.....< 100 prints ..... new developer ?
          What was wrong with the original DV unit ?
          After setting 'New Developer', and power cycle; it should have done more than just beep .
          Were you getting any error codes ?

            It was leaving dark bands down half the page right from the first copy.

            POWER CYCLE! That wasn't part of the instructions. Well, not in the version I have. I did the "New Developer" setting again and cycled the power and it did the 15 minutes of "Adding Toner" that I expected it should have done without the need to cycle the power. The copies look good and I think this thing is ready to go.

            Thanks!
