TaskAlpha 7550ci 5550ci 3550ci yellow banding/background

Hi all.

We have several machines out in the field, that start to get yellow banding/background. the banding looks like a charge or dev mag roller issue. however, its happend on machines that are brand new only been in days, older machines that have been in 6-12months. Its print and copy, can happen at any time, and completely dissapear over night and sometimes by doing forced calibrations.

We have fitted dev,drum units, HV board, transfer unit, transfer HV board. the machines are all in different locations, and the ones we have brought back to our office, again do the same.

there is no pattern, especially it happening to 2 brand new machines.???

any ideas please????

Firmware is suppose to correct that issue, as of this post; version 3.07 is the current version. After updating firmware, Run U464 Calibration then U410. I then would add the color tables in U485, set ky as table 1 and ko as table 2 so if your customer is picky on color, they can choose the konica color table.

Hi. Had some special firmware from Germany that seems to have done the trick. No issues for a few weeks now. Also the current firmware V4.023 should contain this special firmware as well.

take a look at service bulletin d118-2lc-0118. The DVs have been updated quite a bit.

There have been quite a few issues with humidity and paper causing banding and a halo effect. The latest firmware should be installed and there is an adjustment to be made in U108(in Canada) subtraction value should be 0(I think) if already at 0 then change it to 55. I can never remember which one, but if this is an issue should improve it.
