C 7101 - Task Alfa 250 ci

Hi All

The cyan developer unit seems fine (turning freely). I have checked the 4 motors at the back ( service bulletin). They are all turning fine (no fuses blown). I even stripped the gearbox that drives the drum and developers. All drive gears are OK.
I have not replaced anything yet, but ask for advise before I do

C7101 is a problem with the black DV-Unit (Sensor output value of 60 or less, or 944 or more). Just replace it and run U464.

I repaired the 3 devices with errors C710x without replacing the development unit. The reason for this failure, - a small scraper toner sensor, which breaks away from the auger. For repair, remove the lower part of the development unit (black cover on one screw, a metal cover on the bottom two screws (it adhered toner sensor .)) Then, in the medium to find the scraper and glue back to the auger. Then everything is collected in the reverse order. If after the machine it will be in error, go to Service Mode, follow the procedure U464 AC calibrate for faulty development unit. If after rebooting the machine again in error, then repeat procedure again . Sometimes it is necessary to perform the procedure U464 3-5

Thanx I replaced the dev unit and ran simulation u464. Problem solved. II do have the old unit and will investigate.Thanx All

I did some investigation. I stripped the old unit. Searched for the scraper mentioned, but could not find it ( emptied developer into container). Theirs seems to be a scraper on the auger, but its part of the mould. Please send me a pic if possible.

We have found similar problems on these machines speciallly after changing the black developer unit. The solution seems to upgrade the firmware after installing the new developer unit

If the developer unit replaced is brand new. Then shake sh!t out of the unit. Turn the main gear and observe that you have a uniform and full roller developer covering end-to-end on the developer roller. I'm NOT talking about the toner roller above I'm talking about the developer roller below the toner roller. The developer in these units pack down hard to one end when transported in the vertical position, and the developer units lockup from brand new.
