    Windows 8 SMB scanning

    Anyone have experience with Windows 8 SMB scanning? I have configured 100's of computers for SMB scanning and know how to set it up (in Windows 7 and prior); however, none of the "tricks" for the previous versions are working. Username/password correct, path correct, Host name is IP address right now for testing purposes, firewall and virus scans off.

    Any ideas?

    FYI - for printing, I let Windows find the driver since I could not find Win8 drivers on Kyocera's site.

      Apparently SMB scanning isn't possible in Windows 8. There's a few posts on the Ricoh forum about it.
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Win7 drivers will work fine for win8. But yes..it seems SMB will require new firmware for moat manufacturers

              I have smb scan win8 working fine with kyocera, same setup as win 7,

                  I set up 3 Windows 8 laptops today print and smb scan to a Kyocera 300i today. SMB sets up exactly the same way but I had to use the search feature to find the control panel and printer and devices page. I also typed CMD in the search window to find the commend prompt. The windows 8 32 and 64 bit drivers are at KDAConnect
