TASKalfa 7550ci vs Konica Minolta C754 which one?

I thought I will never ask this question, as I would definitely go for Konica in terms of colour output.


I just want to know your thoughts on this subject.

C654/C754 = buggy as all fuck currently. give it a while to iron out all the bugs.


Dont know anything about the others as I dont work on them

If it's just one machine, I would go for the Konica because of the color output.

If You're having more machines in a network and color is not the most important I would choose the Kyocera. Kyocera is in network environments better to work with then the Konica (lot's of problems here with Konica in enterprise environment) .

Out of the gate the 7550CI has had a lot of issues, but they are slowly working some of them out... still have plenty of issues to go, but getting better..

65ppm Colour, 75 Mono

Fantastic machine if you have technicians that know how to maintain and repair them.

Love the image quality, extremely consistent (unlike the Kyocera)

We have few 8000i and not exactly reliable, considering is the same box, is the colour newer phase as for example the 8000i has a new version with all the mods in.

- Yellow backgrounds
- Fuser belts tearing
- Charge rollers needing a clean every 80,000
- Attention lights stuck on for no reason (906)
- Developers and charge rollers rated life has now been halved

The only issue i ever had with the Toshiba es6530c series
- Fusers needing a rebuild at around 150k (rated at 300)
- Fuser drive units stripping (fixed with es6550c series, and modified drive unit also fixed es6530 series)

15 machines and not 1 image quality issue that wasn't caused by the fuser unit or drum units running over there rated life.

I'm sure kyocera will fix the issues and the im comparing a Series 1 Kyocera with a Series 2 Toshiba but i still dont think the kyocera will ever match the toshibas copy quality consistency.
