The prints come out almost blank white. You can see some text from a status page. Swapped another drum and dv unit and no change. Any suggestions.

Re: FS-3900 DN Printer
Hi
do a print preferably a solid block and stop the m/c by opening the top cover then remove the drum and see if the image is clear on the drum.
if it is ok then you have a transfer problem. also check ECO print in the menu is off.

Re: FS-3900 DN Printer
I will try that. The printer was working fine. This just happened with no reason. I will see if the drum unit is not making a good contact. Thanks for the suggestion.Comment

Re: FS-3900 DN Printer
Several things could cause this issue...
- Check BIAS Contact (inside top cover) and make sure it is flush with the frame. If it gets pushed back and doesn't make a good contact with the developer, it will result in very light prints
- Check "Print Density". It works best at 3. 1 is low, 5 is high.
- Make sure "EcoPrint Mode" is off.
- Remove Main Charger and clean it with a damp rag
- When installing Drum unit, shove into place firmly. If it doesn't seat properly, it'll result in very light prints or 7410 error.
Hope one of these helps...Do for one what you wished you could do for everyone. - Andy StanleyComment

Re: FS-3900 DN Printer
often on these machines you need to clean the charge roller. just pull the drum out and on top you can pull the charge roller off. it should be black, if its not then it needs to be cleaned. kyocera will tel you to use water, but iv been using windex without problems. just make sure you have the roller dry when its reassembled.Comment
