I have one that intermittently can't print. Printer showing offline. They said it has been doing it a lot lately. What I found when I was there was tray 3 had an error. Reset with mode 906. I'm not completely sure the intermittent can't print it is related to the tray 3 error. I thought I'd ask here if anyone has seen this before?

Enter your printer properties --> ports --> config port --> uncheck snmp status

As silly as it sounds, change the network cable. That will solve most network drops you get when they're sporadic.

If the paper guides in the paper trays are not completely firmly flush against the paper, even though the machine registers the correct paper size it will go offline.

i have seen it where it will intermitenly not print because drawer 3 wont work. the reason i figure it is is that on my machines drawer 3 was set to default print from that drawer. i moved it to anther and it works just fine ever since.

You have to uncheck the SNMP in the printer properties on the pc having the problem this is happening on loads of pc's on windows 7,

I had one the other day, tray 3 disabled caused it to be offline. Paper was in wrong. Command Center said check tray 3, U906 fixed it.
Teach your customers how to put paper in. Then bill them for recurrences.
