I have a handfull of 5035's that I took over, customers duplex alot and are getting toner smear marks on 1st copy out.
I have tracked it down to toner build-up mainly under the upper picker-fingers, and yes its OEM toner.
Running multiples it does not show on copies, but when machine sits idle for just a few minutes you can start another run and sure enough only on the 1st copy out again the picker-finger toner smear marks will show on paper.
So I just went back on this one and installed all new maintenance kit and another new oem toner, figured that would take care of it, ran 20 copies, let machine sit 2-minutes, ran another set and have toner smear from under upper picker-fingers showing on 1st page out again.
I glance under the picker-fingers, sure enough-toner buildup, then it sticks to the roller and transfers to the 1st page out.
Heat temp on fuser is at default, should it be adjusted, seems like I remember when bumping temp up or down the 5035's would throw codes.
Any ideas, thanks.
