8000i with c 7301

Hi All.
Have a 800i with 50k . Started having c-7301 codes, started every 150 prints or so,now every 5-6. Reseated all the connections and replaced toner cart ,no change. Has anybody come across this....Tech support have very little info.

Have you got all the mods in place.

BTW we have ditched all 8000 out of the loop. just too many problems.

1,2,5 yes , box came with all mods....did not use 140 or 464... . I just ordered the toner toner hopper and want to have it on hand before I try again. Yeh...Loads of fun ( this copier ) ,first fuser at 6k second at 50 k, and...wonderful low toner yeilds .

Yeah funny enough our first fuser on the first series of the machines lasted unbelieveable 630k if my memory serves me well..then any other like after 20-50k D that means if it ain't broke don't flipping fix it

Did all 5 steps and replaced the hopper toner sensor.....worked for 2-300 copies. Still coding ....Any other thoughts.

Seems odd but by any chance have you got a spare dev. unit?

I would definitely check all the connectors again on the front panel. There is a relay board. Just in case, although you have mentioned it that you have checked those. Maybe try and disconnect and have a look if they are not bent. Usually the corner pins have the tendencies if pull straight up doesn't work then "we" usually have a wiggle to the side..and may bent few or even just one pin in any connector. I have managed to pull wires out of one so be careful!!

This really bugs me... New toner hopper and..hang on is the hopper open?? IN and OUT?

I was considering the DV but didn't think it is the cause because output is good , no DV codes and I checked for binding. ...But at this point who knows. I have a known good used one from a MK. and will try it.
I ordered the front PCB, engine PCB and toner hopper assy....guess what, the front PCB is back ordered...I wonder if that's a good clue.

Checked and double checked the connections... seem Ok. Also if any pins are bent that would have to be from the factory, only 50 K on copier.
