    what is the cause of skewing copies when using the document feeder(only when duplexing); placing original on glass manually no problem.

              My bad; KM 4035 not sure of adf model #; I'm thinking SRDH 1 or 2; it's the only feeder I've seen on these machines.

                Check the spring pressure on each end of the white plastic strip opposite the slit glass. If the white plastic strip is crooked due to incorrect spring pressure on one side, then skewing can result.

                  Check there is nothing in the duplex path for the Doc feeder, eg, bit of torn paper or staple.
