    TASKalfa 520i finisher

    Hi Guys,

Im having a small issue with the 1000 sheet finisher on the taskalfa 520i. When trying to staple the sheets are coming out of the finisher, and not being pulled back and squared correctly for the stapling. So what happens is the finished document has some crooked sheets and some are not even stapled at all. I've cleaned all the rollers in the finisher to no avail. The machine has a very low count (95k)

any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

I fought this for quite some time myself. Someone, don't remember who, suggested trimming the plastic guides for the tank tread like tires that stack the paper. It's kinda time consuming, but it solved my issues. I don't have the time right now, but you might try searching some for stapling issues in this forum. Seems he (or she) even posted some diagrams. Good luck.

I have fixed a couple of these. Order the assy with the tank tread tires. The ones that I fixed, I could not see anthing wrong with that assy, but when I put the new piece in, the finisher stapled perfect.

I have one of these in the shop right now waiting on a gear. It's GER-080-43-KH part #305JA70740. The gear has a small strip of gear teeth that kinda just sticks out on it's own. Took some time and looking at another machine to find it. Wouldn't hurt to check that gear.
