    [Misc] TA180

    Hi

Having a problem with a document feeder on a TA180. When a sheet is going through, when it gets to the slit glass it makes a slight "clunk" sound. The copied image comes out distorted, approx skips one letter the full length of the page. Have checked and adjusted the df bolts and hinge, everything seems to be seated correctly. Raised and lowered hinge doesn't seem to make a difference. Any help appreciated.

you have to modify the DF Mylar sheets , i think there is a service bulletin for this problem.... IF not cut the OHP sheetes like DP410 mylars and pasted it with super glue.

2 things cause that, the hinge is worn so the document feeder doesn't lay low enough and or the rear plate that the original glass rests on has been bent down from customer copying books
