new fs4200 f0-00 code

I am wondering if anybody else has run into this code? We have 3 different machines doing this according to the customers. 2 at 0ne location and 1 at another. We brought the one back to our office and havent gotten it to act up. We printed the event log and it didn't have any errors registered. We have flashed the firmware before brting back to the shop but it still was giving the error. What to try next? The hot line suggested the mani pwb? Not sure since we now have 2 more doing it.

Yep. had a few doing this Kyocera are aware of the the problem try the following:-


1) Check connection of the harness (Panel to Main board), (Main board to HDD) and connectors and check function.
2) Check contact of the DDR memory by detaching and reattaching. and check function. replace it if available and check function.
3) Format the HDD and check function. (U024 FULL formatting) (*1)
4) Execute the U021 Memory initializing to initialize the controller backup memory and check function.
5) Replace the main board and check function.6) Replace the panel main board and check function.

(*1) For the HDD standard model only.

F000 is indicated when the controller doesn't send the initial communication for 60 seconds after starting up the main power, or when the controller does not reply for 60 seconds since the communication from the panel board to the controller.

Most of the time the fix is just unplugging and plugging the main board and hard drive.

These machines don't come standard with the hdd do they? And I know we didnt install them. So I will try reseating all the conectors on the main pwb. Thanks for the info

No the hdd is not standard.

Be sure to cancel all of the jobs in the Print Queue. We have seen recently where a job (corrupt?) stuck in the queue caused this error. Good luck.

The issue is when the machine tries to come out of sleep mode. it will do it not even hooked up to any computer. What we have done for know is to take the machine out of energy star and put into quick recovery mode. Since doing this it works great.

Thanks for letting us know your corrective action.

The F000's we were getting were on FS-4020's and as DWISE said.. part of the correction to this error was to cancel all of the jobs in the Print Queue. We also power the printer off...unplug power cable and cat5... plug in JUST the power cable... restart the printer...then reinstall the cat5 after printer comes to ready.
I have not seen the F000 on coming out of sleep mode ... just on the corrupt data sent to printer.

But, thanks to you , we now know of another possible FIX to this error code ......

They just posted new firmware for this issue. We updated the one we are having problems with and set back to energy star and it has been working fine.
