Hi,
I came across this site recently while looking for a solution to a problem that I have been having with my Kyocera copier. I decided to sign up after seeing all the valuable info available regarding printers.
I am currently using a TASKalfa-180 as a copier only. It has printed about 50,000 copies.
Lately, the copies it prints are creased.
Let me offer a few more details:
It causes the paper to crease only if I use manual duplexing, i.e I print on one side from the paper tray and the enter the printed paper again through the bypass tray to print on the other side. The first time it prints, everything is fine. But when i try to print on the other side it causes creasing on the paper. The creasing does not occur every time. But it's been happening more frequently now than before.
I thought it was a problem with that specific batch of paper that i had bought. So i tried it on a different batch. But same result. I tried using the paper tray instead of the bypass tray to print on the other side but result is the same.
I don't use the original toner. But I'm using the same toner on other machines too and they're working fine.
I've noticed that the papers coming out the first time are quite warm and "bent".
Please let me know if any more details are need for your input on my problem.
Thanks a lot in advance!!
