C5300 color reg off

I have a c5300 printer that the color reg is way off. I cleaned the machine and I cannot get the color reg to move. Any ideas?

Can you provide a print sample?

I'm assuming you have already performed the Color Calibration and tried setting the Registration Chart values?

i have this too , right now. side to side registration of colors is way off. by about 20 mm for C & M .. Y & K are ok, using the normal reg chart to try to drag it back got it back to about 5mm but the last bit of alingment just does not want to play ball. now trying firmware and looking for a factory reset..
any answers welcome, thanks..

I got it. Mine was only C&M also. M was way to the left and C was way to the right on the alignment chart. For the M I adjusted to the 9 value 7 times to get it close. The main thing when the adj is this far off is to make sure that you are going the right way. Upgrade the firmware first.

The only m/c's I have had this issue with is a FS-C2126 which turned out to be the ID sensor cover sticking
And a smart m/c FS-C8020 which turned out to be the laser units

The smart m/c I could move the lines on the chart only fractionally after 20-30 adjusments.

might not be the fault here but could help.
