Does anyone know the best method of replacing the developers in this model? We only sold one and the only real problems I've had were fuser related. The manual goes into great detail with various adj. should I tear it down completely and reset doctor blade gap etc? I have been putting this off because the prints looked fine but now the quality is starting to go down. I want to be sure and do it correctly because the developers are so expensive. I have been very impressed with this machine it runs very clean and the color quality is great. Kyocera should try and learn a few things from Toshiba when it comes to cleanliness. This machine has 800k on it. I have rebuilt fuser twice, replaced drums and transfer assy. once and it is still cleaner than any Kyocera color unit with only 100k. This customer runs a job every week of 1000 or more duplexed ledger, folded. It works flawlessly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: TA 550c
I have some knowledge of this products. Never play with the doctor blade gap on any machine. It does not go out of spec by itself. What kind of issues are you having. One of the ways I troubleshoot cq with this model is to run single color sky shots. If you have not cleaned the laser glass that probable needs done. -
Re: TA 550c
I am having light streaks going through the solids. It does look like a dirty laser glass . I have vacuumed the laser cleaner slots and wiped clean with dust towel. Should I take the cover assy off to clean the glass itself. I have ran sim 5-396 several times to operate cleaners. Thanks.Comment

Re: TA 550c
Yep the laser glass is dirty. The cleaner is only a small sponge seal. the best thing to do is remove the laser take that cover off that cleans the laser glass. The laser is easy to remove.Comment
