    [Misc] Kyocera FS-C2126MFP Command Center Password Reset

    I have changed the Kyocera Command Center password on an FS-C2126MFP and forgotten it.

    Is there a way to reset the password or reset the whole machine to factory defaults?

    I can still access everything if I switch User Login from Off to Local Authentication and use an administrator account. However, I would still like to reset the password for User Login -> Off mode just in case I decide to sell it.

    I have tried these Prescribe commands:

    ACNT 'REST' - Returns an Account error 07 on printer's LCD.
    EGRE - Does not seem to do anything.
    SIOP0, 'RESET:0' - Does not seem to do anything.

      I would try executing a U020 and/or U021. If those don't work, you may need to replace a PWB.

          Sooo... five years later I came up with a solution. I did a 'Reset to factory defaults' and the password was back to admin00.

              Was that via the service/simulation mode? 20/21? If not, what menu/where is it? I don't mind losing all the network settings, etc...

                  I did it from the web interface. The functionality was under Basic -> Reset.
