It all started with a magenta toner running out. I installed a new toner and it started running "add toner". Ran for 15minutes and then said "out of toner". I took out the toner and shook it, said "adding toner" again, and again out of toner. This went on for about an hour. After about an hour it gave me an C2810 error.I swopped the waste toner motor, reloaded the firmware to the latest version, swopped the magenta dev unit and still got the same error. I then swopped turned to swopping the EC board. the problem is this is old EC boards and no one knows if they are working correctly. Each board gave me a different error message. Would you go for a new board or any other ideas?

Re: Kyocera 250ci NIGHTMARE
There was an update to the waste toner motor. A new motor was to be used, a spring installed in the waste toner tube, and the wires routed a different way, according to Tech Bulletin 9 and 11. Also, I would try replacing the toner motor. It is not all that easy to get to, but any problems with toner loading are usually solved by that. It is located behind the inner tray back panel. If at first you don't succeed, redefine successComment

Re: Kyocera 250ci NIGHTMARE
When the toner motor goes out, it takes out the Engine PWB, replace that, make sure your toner motor is new, and install the spring in the waste toner tube per TB9. You can get a reman board for half the cost of new... Part# 855RB00112.Comment
