    Kyocera CS2525E

The hard disk on my Kyocera CS2525E is burnt. Is a seagate 40gb ide 7200 rpm. How can i change it? What is the procedure for the machine to recognise a new hard drive? Do i have to get the exact same model of hard in order to change it?
