Customer reports a red line on scanned documents; any thoughts?

Go through all the optics and make sure they are clean...

Not sure what a CS305 is but I had a couple of these issues and adjusted U68 this is only for the doc feeder home postion of the lamps.
it might not be relevent but if it is i hope it helps.
also if you have all the calibration charts do them.

I've had this several times on different machines, the slit glass has a red line on it-from a highliter or some such. My customers didn't get anything on b/w copies or scans, but color scans they did. Just clean the slit glass really good.

Just looked up the model and is a smart m/c which has this U68.
one I had only showed lines when using using doc feeder and only on scan to pc/email not on copies.
I adjusted U68 to 20 gone for good.
