[Misc] Toner level incorrectly read

Hi,

I have the Kyocera FS-C5250DN printer.

I have a problem with the toner level reading. I bought it used, and since then until today, the toner level reading of the yellow toner was constantly at 5%. Even if I would take the yellow toner out it would still say 5%, and likewise if I would use a replacement toner it would show at the same level. The same would be true whether I would use an OEM cartridge or a compatible one.

Earlier today, when I had printed out a single black & white page, the error message changed from "Toner low Y" to "Replace toner Y" and I am now unable to print anything.

Please could you help me resolve this issue. In the meantime, If there is a way I could continue using the printer without yellow then help in that regard would be appreciated as well.

There's a Service Bulletin out for this problem (Measures against the Toner Supply faillure. Frequent display of the toner replacement message).

Thanks for that.

I've noticed that, in the first table, they've put separate service bulletin numbers for each of the problems. Do I need to look at those as well?

Also, how do I get hold of the replacement parts mentioned in the document? (I live in UK)
