encryption type for Data Security Kit E

anyone know what encrytion type is used for the Data Security Kit E? I've searched manuals and training info but they never mention the encryption type, just that encryption is turned on. I have a customer that needs to know so they can put it in their HIPPA review docs. I sent an email to tech support and their answer was 3 time overwrite, but that has nothing to do with encryption.

AES 128 bit encryption.

I looked at everything I could find on kdaconnect, but somehow never found this doc.
