[Misc] Unable to access Command Center from Kyocera 6500i

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to access the Command Center RX webpage of the machine but I'm unable to get the login screen. It just gives me the "Unable to find web page". I can print to the machine just fine. I've pinged it and all that, just no luck with the web page. I've spoke with the IT guy and there are no IP filters or special security protocols setup on the network. SSL isn't enabled (although I did try 'https:\\' just to make sure). I've tried 3 different browsers, all giving the same result with no page found. I've restarted the machine a bunch of times and that doesn't help either.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, i had a similar issue with the login on KM3050 & after ALOT of googling the answer was to upload whats known as a 'Prescribe Command' to the machine. Forgive my vagueness on this as im predominantly Sharp & Ricoh & it was a long time ago when i had the problem but i think that is the path to follow. Hope this helps.

1:How about disabling the proxy on IE(Internet options>>connections>>LAN settings>>proxy server)

2:Connect to the MFD via a crossover cable & see if it behaves the same way.

3:Perhaps the MFD's IP is being shared with another network device:enable DHCP & let the MFD pick up its own IP & try accessing the page.

Thanks for the reply! I've never even heard of a "Prescribe Command" before! But I finally did get it to work by just turning on DHCP, letting the machine pickup a "free" IP from the network. Once I gained access to the page, I changed what needed to be changed and set the IP address back to the original static address and that seemed to do the trick. I'm still not sure what caused the issue and how turning DHCP on and off helped, but it did. If I ever have this issue again, I'll be sure to try that "Prescribe Command" and let you know if it works. Thanks again!
