    C7420 after swapping Xfer belt from TA250ci into TA400ci

    We swapped Xfer belt between our Taskalfa 400ci ( parts Machine) a ta 250ci to resolve a build-up on the edges when sitting. now when we try to use the 400 it goes to C7420 code. Rechecked the connector and seems ok. Is there a reset going from the smaller copier to the bigger 400?
    Thanks Gar

    They use different belts

    302JZ93075 = 250Ci, 300Ci

    302H793225 = 400Ci 500Ci

      The 400 belt works fine in the 250, is there a chip change or reset on this belt? In the past it seems like the newer/bigger number copier parts would work in the older/smaller number copiers. On some of the early model stuff a jumpper was all it needed to work. I am trying to repair a c 8040 code on the 1000 sheet sorter so I need the copier up for T/S'ing, other than testing the 400ci is just a parts machine.
      Thanks for the info.

        Different part no. I would not waste my time. The finisher needs the interloc adj.

          The finisher will throw the code with covers off and me HOLDING down the interlock. Back in the DC313Z days we had to replace saftey sw's for problems, but this seems ok. Else where someone said Gear timing was the problem. anyways I will take another look at the switch.
          Thanks
