Taskalfa 250ci KX error code C0640

Hi,
my printer doesn't startup and give me the error code C0640, what can I do? I don't think it depends on HDD, because I try to substitute it but the same error compares on the display.
Help me please.

Make sure you format the drive from the maintenance menu.

This is a Hard Drive error, a functioning Hard Drive is required for this copier to function correctly. You will need to re-enable the Hard drive by going into the service mode and performing a reset disable function then format the new drive. All of this information can be found in your service manual. If you are an end user you should hire a technician to do this.

U906 won't enable a defective HDD. U906 only resets problems with paper banks, document feeders, finishers.

Eric1968, You are correct for the newer machines, I stand corrected. However I also pulled out a KM-6030 and disconnected the HDD ant you do have to perform a 906 before the HDD will come back to life.

I'm an end user, but my technical support for the printer had just substitute the HDD and the error doesn't desapear

Description

To return the machine settings to their factory default.
Method
1. Press the start key.

3. Press the start key. All data other than that for adjustments due to variations between machines is initial-

4. Turn the main power switch off and on.
For errors occurred, turn main power switch off then on, and execute initialization.

Description
Initializes the hard disk.
In addition, the following settings are also initialized by initializing the hard disk.

Purpose
To initialize the hard disk when replacing the hard disk after shipping.
Method
1. Press the start key.

I am a tech and i am replacing hard drives on a 420i. On the first one i formatted the hard drive from my computer in disk management and they worked fine in the printer. I did the same thing on another one later on same printer and i get the error code 0640 for the hard drive and i execute and all this....Press [EXECUTE] on the touch panel.

after that it just goes back to the erro code and i start all over but just keep getting error code.
I tried on different printer with 2 different hard drives by just putting them in it and letting the printer format the hard drive and i get the same code that way.
These are the exact hard drives i used in the first printer that works.
Maybe I am missing a set when I am formatting it from my computer.
Can someone please tell me the exact way for me to format one for a printer.
