    4004 on a Kyocera 3050ci

Hi I have a Kyocera 3050ci that has error

    4004

Registration sensor (RS) does not turn on during
paper feed from cassette 4 (paper feeder).

It has a PF 730 paper feeder.

Theres no paper stuck anywhere and I have removed and inspected both pickups. I swapped them round when refitting and still got the same error.

I have disconnected the paper feeder and the machine starts up "preparing to print" and you can select the paper and see that only two cassettes are fitted.

I then get 4004 without the paper feeder connected.

I have done a 906 and am now stuck on this.

I think it's better to respond in English. The knowledge of the Turkish language of the average member here isn't that good lately...

there is a mod on a whole range of machines .it involves two pads on the vertical paper conveying roller ,the one with the clutch on the end.
the pads sit under the shaft one on each end and act as a brake for the rollers.i fitted my first one yesterday and it works like a charm.

part number 302k931560 for the pads 302k994131 for the complete unit including sensor, pads roller etc.
