    Km5530 W/radf 2

keeps trying to feed an original after the last one goes through. the solenoid is energized and the plate stays up, feed rollers are spinning on the plate creating a nasty noise then triggers a jam and needs to be reset by opening and closing the adf cover. cleaned reg switch, plate solenoid at the rear, original detection sensor, tried adjusting the spring for the ods sensor lever, (ng) anyone come across this. (all sensors have been cleaned in this feeder, there aren't many) i've had this b4 but i can't put my finger on it this time. thanks so much t

The spring in the paper detection actuator is out of its mount. The actuator cannot restore fast enough so the machine still thinks there is paper in the feed tray of the doc feeder and keeps trying to feed. You probably just replaced the rollers and the spring came out of the hole that secures it. Take the top cover off with two screws and look at the black plastic actuator and spring. That is probably your issue.

try to check the main cable connector from machine to Srdf2, there is an open wire from this cable. We faced this problem several times.

I have seen this cause the exact same fault before. Will probably be your issue. You'll need to check the spring because the actuator will probably appear to be fine.
