    Kyocera scan to email

    I am trying to configure scan to email in taskalfa 500ci. It is working with my exchange server. but gmail, outlook not work. any one have solution for this?

    Not to familiar with Kyocera, but the settings I use are - SMTP = smtp.gmail.com, DNS = 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, Enable SSL and enter user authentication.

      As far as i remember, TA 500ci doesn't have ssl for smtp so you can forget about gmail, hotmail or any other ssl mandatory mail service running on it. Newer machines have it, it sucks, i know.

        Google does provide a non-SSL Port 25 SMTP service. Two restrictions, first, you can only send to your self or other gmail or Google Apps domain accounts. Second, if the ISP blocks port 25 you are out of luck. The server URL is aspmx.l.google.com.

          Fair enough, but sending only to yourself or only to gmail accounts won't work for most of users.

            What my customers do is just open it in their Gmail and forward in to who ever they want, sometimes adding additional information and the proper subject.
