[Misc] Fs 1135 dp not feeding originals at times

Just having a funny problem on one of the fs 1135 dp.At times it feeds nicely and sometimes the stepper motor just doesn't turn.No error code.Have tried quite a number of things
Cleaned all the grease on all gears suspecting it could be increasing load on motor,lubricated all bushings,changed the dp interface PCB BUT still no difference,it works at times and next time it doesn't .Am beginning to suspect the stepper motor,but the last time I had a problem with stepper motors was on the old mita dc machines.Any suggestions guys???

We have had exact same intermittent problem on a few of these which we didn't have on the older version of the DP

I'm not even sure if we got to the bottom of this but I'll check with the tech that was working on it and get back to you.

It was the clutch that drives the paper feed apparently.

He has flushed them out and it seems to solve the problem, better job might be to replace it.

You said you replaced the DP interface PWB, but did you replace the cable? I have had a few machines, both 1135's and 1128's do that hit and miss pulling of the paper, and the cable was the problem.

I would surely try the wiring ,but really doubt the clutch.The motor itself is not driving,the clutch is activating.

Sorry, it would seem I didn't read that very well. We have been having a different problem.

replace the DP cable, it is broken.

Thanks guys , have replaced the cable and so far so good.Never suspected the cable until when I went to the client's office just to discover that they open the dp everytime they do copies on the machine because 99% of their work s not ideal to go through the feeder ,hence the reason the cable had some wires broken.
