What sort of printer could be used to printer on laminated foil for packaging?

something that uses a fast drying INK, most likely. Foil in a laser printer/copier is NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bad things will happen.............

So something alone the lines of a printing press, similar to a Heidelberg?

Laminated foil is a thin gauge ferrous and non-ferrous metal laminated to a variety of substrates including Polyester(PET), Polypropylene(PP), and Polyethylene(PE). Foil lamination enhances the product integrity and also increases vapor barrier characteristics.
In contrast to many types of paper, foil is special in that it conveys a sense of high quality to the user. There are any number of products that require packaging and coating in foil. Chocolate bars, boxes of chocolate, tobacco, cigarettes and other luxury products have a sensual appeal and also place expectations on the packaging.
