    400ci & 300ci with C7000 codes

    Hello all

    We have two separate machines

The 400ci is adding toner until all three color developers get full, to the point where it locks up the toner container motor, and gives the c7000 error. If we vacuum out the tops of the developer we can get it to print a status page where all the black image shows up, and none of the colors do.

With the 300ci we have same issue except reverse, where the black keeps adding until the TC motor errors out and we can vacuum the developer out and print a status page that only shows color.

we replaced the Toner Container motor on both machines, and that did nothing to resolve it, so we think something else is going on, but we cant quite put our fingers on it.

    Any advice?

Developer motors are not turning. When this happens, the toner has no place to go and builds up where it enters the dev. unit. Look at the back of the machine behind the drum motors you will see four smaller motors. Two of these motors are developing motors, the other two are cleaning motors (one set for black, one set for color). There was a bulletin out for these motors failing, and how to check them.
