    Taskalfa 8000i Jam 1514, 1513, 0523 & 0524

    Hi guys,

Iv been having a continuous Jamming from the bottom trays on a 8000i, where i am getting loads of j1514, j1513, j0523 and j0524's.

So far iv fitted the modified feed stations, rollers and spings. Also updated to the latest firmware. But still doesn't seem to make a difference.

If there is anything else that I could try or something iv missed I would appreciate some advise.

    Ta

Looks to me you have replaced what the bulletins say. The only thing i could find that might help you is to check this one: J051X.jpg

Also in the latest update kit for 8000i, amongst the others it mentions complete primary feed unit to be replaced: primary feed unit.jpg

I don't have anything more at this time. Good luck.

Try replacing the Middle Roller Unit(303NF94010). Sits right above the deck feed assys. I had one go bad caused jams. There's a clutch on the unit, however it's easier to replace the whole part.

        Hi All,

Thanks for your responses. I have already replaced the Middle Roller assembly and tested clutch/motor operation in U31 service mode and it all seems fine. Iv ordered up a modified spring (bronze) for both paper feed ass'y's (suggested by tech bulletin).
Other than that I'm running out of ideas.

Bronze springs for all feed units x4 , Foam Pad brakes x4 for accidental feed in vertical path are very important! other than that just keep the machine feed sensors clean, they dust easily especially by the ones by the separation roller as it is sitting just above it chucking all the paper dust on them. Other than that one way bearing in feed units may slip..but that should be a must to clean when changing feed rollers.

Rusty Clutches, can cause issue. Keep'em clean... even the ones in Main Drive unit ..i think its 4 of them in there.

          Good Luck

Check, clean or better yet REPLACE the feed, and reg clutches , the ones inside the feed assy and behind it.. They rust and or hang up. The clutches are cheap POS.
