    7550ci with Fiery system 12

Is it possible to print out full page colors of specific colors (not U089 test colors)?? I have a customer that has issues printing different shades of greens, however, both cyan and yellow test print perfectly...

Sounds like they need to calibrate the Fiery, preferably with the ES1000 or 2000, but off the glass is better than nothing. Fiery calibration should be done every few months at a minimum if you are following their recomendations.

Thanks for the reply, I had thought of that too... I have ran the fiery calibrations multiple times over the period of 6-8 months... sometimes it has made the images better, sometimes not, depending on what the original complaint was, but in this case, it hasn't changed anything... I think it may be a problem with specific greens they are trying to print, but have not been able to get the exact color numbers they are using to try to narrow that down....

You could try calibrating via command workstation with a fiery densitometer or better still ask the customer if their monitors have been calibrated assuming the machine is up to date service wise

First I'm not a Kyo guy, but I am a Fiery guy. First is the engine running correctly and up to spec? Next you have calibrated multiple times, was this off the glass with the color test patch card or was it with the es-1000/2000? are the colors they are trying to get PMS colors? If so are they on the PMS color on the PMS color chart? If not are they CMYK or RGB? on the CMYK and RGB charts there are mixture fomulas with each shade, are any of these close to what the customer is printing? Finally what file types are they working with? Native apps like Indesign or photoshop, or some POS app like Publisher?
Are the files native files like idd or are they some converted and compressed file like a PDF,JPEG or worse yet a word doc?? I know it's all questions, but this is info you need to know to get good color with a Fiery. I recommend going to w3.efi.com and going to the resources link for more free info, or youtube and search for World of Fiery for some very good video presentations.

Thanks for the reply, will try to respond to the questions with some intelligence...
Calibrations were from the glass using the patch cards. The colors they use are pantone, they realize they may not get the exact pantone color, but they complain about the inconsistency in colors (even when their documents are not consistent) I have tried several combinations of rendering within the print drivers to use the cmyk or rgb rendering. They are using PDF files created from InDesign and other software (not sure what all they use)

Thanks for the info you can provide, will also check out youtube
