    FS-C2126mfp says toner not installed

    I have a customer who is saying that the machine is telling them it doesn't recognize the cyan Toner and I just called them to get some more info and now they say the black isn't being recognized either. Any thoughts on this problem?

    Depends on the exact error message. A recognition error is most likely a chip error on the cartridge. If it's saying there's no toner and recently it's been "Adding toner" a lot then the toner path is probably blocked in the transfer belt part. I've seen this happen with both OEM and after market cartridges. These machines are tops when they work 100% but a royal pain when they start doing this crap.

      You need to replace adjustment kit. It's 8-10 hours of work if you never did it before. It will fix many other issues beside the one you have.

        I had a customer that purchased some after market toner (toner phoner snagged them) that caused this message to pop because the chips on the cartridge didn't work correctly.. have also seen broken hinge on toner lid cause this as well...
