    Kyocera fs1135 fax issue

    Hey all

having an ongoing issue with a bunch of these. When receiving faxes a lot of the time sections of the documents wording is garbled. Like a whole sentence. Telephone lines have been tested good. Fax boards have been swapped. Ecm shut off. V.34 shut off. I cant figure this out. It seems like it only happens when they receive faxes that are generated by fax servers rather than someone manually faxing them something.

Customer supposedly never had this issue with the old company that was in here and they were using ricoh equipment. Now that these kyoceras are in, the issue arrises. This is a hospital and the faxes they get are pretty important. Usually lab results, billing forms, etc...

    Any ideas? Thanks

Heres a small sample. You can see how some of the text is distorted. Sometimes on other faxes they look stretched. Sometimes they look the tops and bottoms of the letters are cut off.

Does it ever occur when printing or copying? If not I would think it's an issue with the senders fax.

No. Only when receiving faxes. And its from multiple senders. It appears it only happens when the senders are using fax servers. Or sending from a pc application

This is a bad phone line.

Got a spare little mfp you could swap? just to prove it

This ois happening with multiple kyoceras at multiple locations. Phone lines have been checked. Ive replaced machines as well. Nothing has resolved the issue.
