Void Line on Brand New FS-4100

Hello all,

Had a NIB FS-4100 I just sold to a customer. When they print their watermark on invoices, it has a voidline in the image (see below)

This void only occurs during the watermark, and only on our printer. If they print to a different unit, the voidline is gone.

Its worth nothing that the void line is going Side to side, where as the paper path is top to bottom.

Any suggestions?

looks like the mark is where the paper enters fuser. Can you adjust the fuser speed on that machine? test with a different paper size and check if the mark is the same distance from the top and in a different place in relation to the image. If that is the case then it has to do with mismatching transport speeds. lighter gradations tent to show QC detail easier than solids.

Hi,

there is a kind of modif for this issue, add a mylar.
if you print the test page, you can see it @ approx 105 mm?

On that watermark, the line is 111mm from the trail edge, this might be a stupid question but where exactly is this additional mylar suppose to go?

This is the bulletin taskalfaman is referring to: FS-4100DN.pdf but the mentioned Mylar sheet with sponge is not individually supplied, so you will have to replace the drum unit with the latest type.

I checked the bulletins this morning, I didnt see this, is there a reason why this wouldnt have shown up?
