Kyocera 4500i scan to email error 2202

I know must kyocera techs already know this, but for the newer guys I thought I would pass this along.

I I had a 4500i at a customer that threw a strange error code while scanning to email. The bottom "status" bar showed email sending and stayed there for 10 seconds then threw a 2202 code. The email was sent but for some reason the machine still threw the code. What I did was upped the SMTP timeout in the command center and it stopped throwing the error. I tested this and so far it's working fine.

Just thought i would would pass it along. When I find a more permanent solution I'll post it as well.

I usually jack up the time to at least 60 seconds. For some slower mail servers i'll max it to 180! Sometimes upping the timeout can also cure other email send errors, even if the error the mail server is sending back to the copier seems like it should have nothing to do with a timeout problem, such as an authentication error 3101.
