Thanks for the post, had the same issue with the 2550ci, but I changed the complete assembly (DR-895A), just to be sure. The internal clutch/motor test does not help you see the issue, when you activate that motor, it spins nicely, lol. Exactly the same thing, motor turning, but when you trick the machine with the right door open you can see that the Image Transfer Belt is not turning (ITB).

Here's is the one from the 2550ci. This thread saved me some time. I thought it was a belt issue, as you can see the motor turning, but the belt didn't turn once installed. AndyF's description is what I experienced.

A relative quick and easy check is:

1) turn off machine
2) remove rear cover
3) remove transfer unit
4) put finger on the claw that drives the transfer
5) manually turn the motor

If the claw turns around, it's good. If the shaft is worn, you can prevent the claw from turning by simply pushing gently against it.

If you really can't be bothered, you could always mark the transfer unit, but that's frowned upon.

I faintly remember that you can either turn a bushing around or remove a little washer, so the bearing has enough grip on a new bit of the shaft, so you can at least get the customer going while you are waiting on parts.
