[Electrical] TASKalfa 305 dies after sending fax

working on a TASKalfa 305 that original issue was a low memory message. i ran sim 21 to initialize memory. it then was able to make copies and fax but machine died after sending fax. rebooted machine ran 100 duplexed copies no issues. sent a fax machine died. i then updated firmware to latest firmware available from kdaconnect.com. after updating firmware still no change to the issue of machine dieing only after sending fax. any clue on what would be causing this?

Describe the dieing. Freezes? Powers off? Blinking with display out?

Sim 21 resets to factory default not just initialize memory. Not sure why the machine dies after sending a fax though. Might start by running sim 600.

issue fixed machine lost all settings after ATT ran new cabling. reset power settings all is ok

Yep Sim 21 set everything back to default including low power settings which are very low from the factory.
